Brighid

Our writing group’s prompt for this month is to write something in honor of Brighid.

Brighid, Mistress of Poetry
Bring guidance from the east
Send inspiration dancing on the wind
Walk with us Brighid

Brighid, Matron of the Forge
Bring strength from the south
Send courage burning with the flame
Walk with us Brighid

Brighid, Lady of the Sacred Wells
Bring healing from the west
Send serenity in the water
Walk with us Brighid

Brighid, Foster Mother of Us All
Bring wisdom from the north
Send stability through the earth
Walk with us Brighid

Brighid, Goddess Divine
Bring your spark of spirit
Send us your love
Walk with us Brighid

Quarter Calls

This might be a little bit of a cheat, as I spent the day with family commitments. Oaken Circle is having a Spring Academy next weekend, and I was asked to write the quarter calls for a ritual on animal wisdom.  I finished them today (at least as draft), though it depends how fast I type if I actually get it posted for NaPoWriMo on the 3rd.

Animal Wisdom Quarter Calls

Spirit of the Hawk,

Keen-eyed watcher from the Eastern skies,

We gather here to ask your blessing,

To seek the wisdom of your perception,

To find a teacher in the red-tailed hawk.

Please, join with us this day.

*

Spirit of the Cat,

Fierce guardian of the Southern fires,

We gather here to ask your blessing,

To seek the wisdom of your steadfast bravery,

To find a teacher in the bobcat.

Please, join with us this day.

*

Spirit of the Deer,

Fleet-footed herald of the West,

We gather here to ask your blessing,

To seek the wisdom of the storyteller,

To find a teacher in the white-tailed deer.

Please, join with us this day.

*

Spirit of the Wolf,

Loyal companion from the North,

We gather here to ask your blessing,

To seek the wisdom of the cunning hunter,

To find a teacher in the gray wolf .

Please, join with us this day.
