Partially in an attempt to help with the numerous reading challenges I’ve pledged to this year (other parts include it sounded fun and others seemed interested and I wanted another Thursday night meeting), I’ve started a Pagan book discussion group. Pagan Bookworms is an offshoot of the Steel Phoenix Writers Group.
At the first meeting (this month), we hashed out a reading list for the rest of the year. We also concluded that readings are not mandatory, people who want to learn about the books and/or join in the resulting discussions are most welcome. We expect a very fluid group as it is understood that different books will interest different people. Both fiction and nonfiction are included in our reading list. Several of the books are by local authors, and we are hoping to have them visit the group to discuss their books with us.
